1. Drug name: Alcohols
Street name: Booze, hooch
Source: Fermentation of saccharine liquids or indirectly of cereals, wood or straw by yeast; distillation.
Usage: Swallowed as liquid.



2. Drug Name: Barbiturates
Street Name: Barbs, red devil, blue devil, downers
Source: Synthetic
Usage: Tablets, capsules, powder and injectable forms. Swallowed or injected.



3. Drug Name: Tranquillizers
Street Name: V’s Blues
Source: Synthetic
Usage: Tablets, injectables. Swallowed or injected.


4. Drug Name: Narcotics (Morphine, heroin, pethidine)
Street Name: Morph power, junk, dreamer (Morphine) smack, horse, scag, joy powder, hard stuff Harry
Source: Opium (poppy plant) derivatives; natural and synthetic
Usage: Morphine and hero in comes in white powders.  They are dissolved in sterilized water and injected.  Some people sniff and inhale the powder through paper rolled straws. Pethidine is injected
